It has to be hard to put all the thoughts that were in the character's heads into a movie, so they had to make the expressions a little over the top for people to understand. I was actually really happy with the way everything was put together; it was very close to the book. There were some changes, but they were necessary for people who hadn't read the books.
The things I didn't like: the special affects. When the vampires were supposed to be running fast, it looked very choppy and comical. I also really think they did a bad job on Carlise's makeup or something. He looked very strange. Even for a 'vampire. They also really didn't show the extent of Bella's relationship with Charlie, which is important I think.
Honestly though, the second time I saw it, the things that annoyed me the first time around annoyed me less. It really wasn't too bad and I'm not disappointed.

Twilight twilight. Twilight new moon. Let me start by saying I am not someone in their target audience (which I assume are teen females. I have never read any of the books, so my assessment is based solely on the movie.
The story itself is like every other movie of its type. Nothing about the plot will surprise you, and there will be no "Oh I was not expecting this" moments. In fact, one could probably guess the plot simply by watching the first 10 minutes of this film.
What really pulled me into this movie was the connection between both Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. They compliment each other very well in the film, with Edward being calm and level headed and Bella being somewhat panicky. As individuals, Robert Pattinson's portrayal of Edward Cullen was spectacular. He played the role of the quiet heartthrob to a T. On the other hand, Kristen Stewart's individual acting was a little hard to swallow. Needless to say, she benefited greatly from scenes where they both appear.
Other members such as Carlise and Charlie were magnificent as well. Overall, the cast all performed very well.
Though it may not win many awards, this is still a great movie to watch, and you will not leave disappointed.
